After my birthday post I forgot about this blog as thoroughly as I have ever forgotten about anything. That's how it goes with things like this, especially considering I started it on a whim with no direction and no goal beyond self-reflection and directional procrastination.
This semester has been a whirlwind of altruistic involvement. Dance Marathon happened on Saturday; I am still recovering, which meant skipping Chemistry this morning in order to get some more much-needed sleep. Or maybe it was because I was having a crazy dream about Harry Potter and just couldn't bear to see it end. That must be it.
Yesterday Hailey and I finally got our Relay for Life team organized, handed out team member packets, and brainstormed some excellent fundraising ideas. What a relief to see that project off the ground and headed somewhere. If only I was as organized with my alternative breaks group as I am with Relay. I guess that's what I get for halfway being in charge of too many things at once... a scattered brain and a handful of things I've forgotten to do.
I finally watched Julie and Julia, after which I feel the need to give this blog some direction. It might take the form of a blog that follows my first-time experience co-site leading an alternative breaks group and co-captaining a Relay for Life group. Boring for everyone except me. Hmm... we'll see. I guess this blog really isn't for anyone but myself anyway, so it really doesn't have to be interesting, except that if someone accidentally stumbles upon it they'll think "This chick is so dull. Who let her have her own blog?" Disclaimer: I'm not that boring. Scout's honor.
